Brash, Bizarre and Beautiful: Colby McEnany’s Snapchats

One man has taken it upon himself to not only revolutionize the way we look at Snapchats, but to make statements with them. Statements that are so bold, we couldn’t possibly begin to pontificate their meanings in 1-10 seconds. That man is named Colby McEnany. Using his brand new iPhone 5, and the new update of Snap-video (some that have called it “death of the art”), McEnany has painted some of the most thought provoking Snaps in recent memory. Those who believe Snap-videos have ruined the way of Snapchatting— I am here to tell you that it is far from that. McEnany has sent numerous videos that are much like pictures: static shots of him chewing his breakfast, blinking, or even rapping. His photos possess the craftsmanship of a young filmmaker or painter. When asked about his favorite one he’s made, Colby responded with “Prolly the one where u can see my dick and a streAm of my piss going onto some’s car. The caption was ‘pissin on yo ride.’ Haha I was hammered.”

One day we will see his masterpiece.

2012 was an awesome year for music. I have to admit though, for me, it was more of a year of song exploration and less about listening to full albums (thanks Spotify… dick). Another weird thing that happened was very few of my most anticipated albums turned out to be enjoyable for me. But that is not to say that there weren’t albums that I really dug this year!
